Is there anything cuter than watching a playing kitten? They have so much playful energy, and despite being feline, they are pretty clumsy at first as they learn how to control their little bodies. You may be fortunate enough to have a crazy kitten at home still to watch, but for many us, no such kitten awaits to entertain us. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a daily dose of kitten viewing. Several rescue organization worldwide have live cams that you can tune into and watch the antics of kittens; all of which are available for adoption.
Explore.org is a non-profit organization that offers several opportunities to watch cats and kittens playing all day and night long as well as other great feeds, including dogs, bird, and wildlife from all over the world. Explore.org has a live streaming agreement with a cat rescue group in Tampa Florida to provide live viewing of all the kittens currently at the rescue in a live cam group called the “Kitten Cabana.” The group is the Big Cat Rescue, and you also have the opportunity to see some of the big cats at the facility. Sorry, the big cats are not available for adoption. Once ready, the big cats will be reintroduced to safe, wildlife sanctuaries.
Other organizations and rescues have done the same thing, all over the world. In Iceland, a cleverly named live cam called Keeping Up with the Kattarshians features about six kittens all living in the same space, a doll house with two floors. One minute, the kittens are furiously playing and rolling around and the next, they are tucked away together in bed snoozing. I’ll be one of the first to admit; I enjoy checking in on the Kattarshians first thing in the morning and throughout my day just to see what’s new and exciting in the Icelandic world of cats.
